HelpPay makes sharing bills and contributing to bills easy and secure. Simply upload a bill, share the bill with HelpPay contacts or someone who doesn't have a HelpPay account, with our Copy and share link feature. 


There are two ways you can share your bill from the HelpPay App and HelpPay Web: 

  1. Copy and share a unique link, this is handy to share your bill with someone who doesn’t have the HelpPay app.
  2. Ask for help from a contact who is connected with you in the HelpPay app.

 

To share a bill with someone who doesn’t have a HelpPay account:


Sharing a bill with someone who is not a HelpPay user, will mean the Helper will see a public payment page, which can be accessed through your browser. 

  1. Log into HelpPay via the HelpPay App or HelpPay Web
  2. Go to Bills
  3. Select the bill you would like to share
  4. Select Ask for help, then Copy and Share, the link will be copied
  5. Select the channel and people you would like to share your bill with
  6. Your bill's unique URL will be uploaded to the person via your chosen channel.


Helper's contributing to a bill via a payment page and not the HelpPay app may stay anonymous if they choose to. Any contributions made by Helpers will be displayed in Help Others under either Overdue tab or Paid tab

 


To share a bill with someone who is a contact in the HelpPay app:

  1. Log into HelpPay via the HelpPay App
  2. Go to Bills
  3. Select the bill you would like to share
  4. Select Ask for help, then Ask via contacts
  5. Select the contacts you would like to share your bill with. You may share your bill with up to 10 contacts at a time.


Any contribution from these Helpers will be shown under Help Others





Share your bill in our Facebook Helping Community Page:

  • HelpPay has created the HelpPay Helping Community Facebook group so that those who are experiencing financial hardship may seek help from others who want to help. Members who are seeking help can upload their bills into HelpPay and share their unique bill link into the Helping Community group for others to see and contribute to, if they choose. How to get help:


1. Upload your bill to your HelpPay account

  • Log into HelpPay via the app or web browser
  • Go to Bills at the bottom of your screen
  • Select Add a bill
  • Add your bill's BPAY biller code, BPAY reference number, amount due and due date
  • Select Submit

2.  Once the bill is uploaded to your HelpPay account

  • You can Select on Ask for help, then Copy and Share, and the link will be copied

3. Go to our Facebook page and share the link you copied in a post. 

4. If you'd like, you can go into some detail in your post about why you need help and why paying your bills is difficult. We see that posts with stories have a higher chance of receiving help than those without stories.

5. Members of our page can then see your post, and they can click on the link to your bill to contribute directly to your bill. HelpPay sends the contributions made by others to the BPAY details you have provided. Once a contribution has been made, you will be notified by email to the email address you have linked to your HelpPay account.
