When a user uploads a bill into HelpPay, HelpPay will generate a public payment page, that can be shared with anyone via a unique bill link.

A public payment page allows anyone to contribute to your bill. Your Helper/s do not need a HelpPay account to make a contribution towards your bill. The payment page outlines all the key details of the uploaded bill, such as the billing provider, how much is due, and when it is due. From here, you can select how much you would like to contribute or enter your own amount, and add in your payment method and email, so that we can send you a receipt.

Public Payment Page Explained

Let's break down the public payment page.

Below you will find common points of interest bolded, to help you find answers to your questions.

As you can see, the payment page begins with the name of the person you are trying to help, the billing provider, the due date and the amount due. The amount due is a count down, so once a payment is made towards this bill, the total amount due will reduce.

From here, you may log into your HelpPay account if you have one. This will allow you to use your saved payment methods and allows for a quicker contribution.

You do not need a HelpPay account to contribute to someone's bill, you may make a contribution here. Select the amount you would like to contribute or enter in your own amount by selecting the $Enter an amount field.

As you add an amount, the associated fees will populate in the I would like to add $0.00 to cover fees checkbox text. If you unselect this, your payment will be reduced by the associated fees.

In the Payment Summary, you can be able to see a breakdown of how much is to be paid, the cost of fees, the total amount payable, and the remaining bill amount after this payment.

We currently only accept payments with an Australian credit/ debit card. If you are using a Rewards Credit Card, you will receive credit card points on any contribution you make through HelpPay.

Your name is optional, as you may remain anonymous to your Helper if you choose to. Contributions made with no name will show under "Other Contributions" within the Customers account.

Your email address is required so that we may send you a transaction receipt once the payment is successful. The Customer will not see your email address, this is only for HelpPay to send you a receipt.
